GitHub Copilot is available in Xcode's built-in coding assistant in public preview, starting with the Xcode 27.3 beta

iOS and macOS teams can pick Copilot inside Xcode's own Intelligence settings instead of installing a separate extension.

// Key points

  • Public preview; requires macOS Tahoe 26.6 or later and the Xcode 27.3 beta from Apple Developer Downloads
  • Set up under Xcode > Settings > Intelligence; all Copilot plans are supported
  • The separate GitHub Copilot for Xcode extension remains available as an alternative

Builder's takeFollowing JetBrains Air on 11-03, Copilot is again plugging into someone else's host. For our iOS client I'd let one developer try it on the beta toolchain only, and check spend and policy settings on the GitHub side first, since the host IDE is not where those controls live.
