Black Forest Labs opens FLUX.3 Image Klein: text-to-image, multi-reference editing and bounding-box layout in one model, about 2 seconds per 1024 image on an H100
One open image model for both generation and editing, with layout set by bounding boxes in the prompt.
// Key points
- One model handles text-to-image, multi-reference image-to-image and new layout control: bounding boxes written into the prompt set where each part goes.
- Two open checkpoints: a timestep-distilled one at 16 steps with no CFG by default, and a base model at 50 steps with CFG.
- The distilled checkpoint makes a 1024 × 1024 image in about 2 seconds on an H100, and NVFP4 and FP8 weights target smaller GPUs.
- Day-0 support in Diffusers, plus LoRA training scripts for text-to-image and image editing.
Builder's takePandaClaws generates a header image for every post, and the pain is that text and subjects land anywhere; bounding-box layout control hits exactly that. I’d run the distilled checkpoint on a batch of real posts and compare per-image cost and redo rate; the post doesn’t state a license, so check the model page before commercial use.
